Acupuncture is a system of medicine based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and modern scientific and physiological systems. It is used for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Acupuncture is administered to promote, maintain, restore or improve health, prevent disorders, imbalances or diseases, relieve pain, facilitate healing, increase mobility, and restore function and quality of life (COAOA).
