Physical therapists are licensed healthcare professionals who work independently and collaboratively with clinicians and other healthcare professionals. Using a patient-centred strategy, physical therapists utilize evidence-based rehabilitation, anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology research to assess, treat, and manage pain, injury, movement dysfunction, and chronic conditions. Physiotherapy aims to strengthen, promote independence and improve quality of life.
